At AMP, we love small businesses. We specialize in SBA and ESOP valuations because both programs allow businesses to flourish under new ownership while maintaining their service to the local community. AMP Business Valuations is a preferred business appraiser for dozens of SBA lenders across the country, offering dependable turnaround times and quality valuation reports.
AMP founder Mark Ahern (pictured left) spent over a decade in finance and commercial banking, growing businesses through various lending and cash management tools. As the head of AMP Business Valuations, Mark leads a team of analysts, develops efficient processes to best serve our bank partners, and is a frequent speaker at industry events on topics such as small business, financial literacy, and business valuation.
Mark received his MBA from DePaul University in 2017 and is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). In his spare time, Mark provides financial literacy training through the Denver Metro Small Business Development Center and is a lecturer of Finance at Regis University. He is based in Denver, Colorado.

Jim Mulcahy (right) has always had a passion for small business. His father owns and operates a small business dating back to 1988.
At AMP Jim serves as the lead analyst. His background in accounting and knowledge of small business operations makes him a great fit in the world of business valuation. Most recently Jim has been an office manager for PL EnterprisesOne Inc. (a chemical distribution company and restaurant), a financial advisor for Siebert Inc., and an advisor for startup company ConTact Training Group.
Jim received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Management from the University of St. Francis in 2011. He is working towards his Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) certificate. Jim is based in Chicago, Illinois.
Community focus.
Luis Oronia (left) grew up around various small and family-owned businesses. Coming from a small town, Luis understands the importance and value of small businesses to the local community.
At AMP, Luis serves as an analyst. Experience and hands-on work with small business has prepared him to perform business valuations.
Luis will be a senior at Regis University this Fall. He will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance. He will work towards his Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) certificate upon graduation. Luis is based in Moses Lake, Washington (Central Washington).
